Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 2 cloves minced garlic
Instructions:
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. In a bowl, toss the chicken with avocado oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (199°C). Arrange chicken in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 155°F (68°C).
- While chicken is roasting, whisk together honey, low-sodium soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, grated ginger, and minced garlic in a small bowl.
- Generously brush the honey soy glaze over each piece of chicken. Increase air fryer heat to 400°F (204°C) and cook for another 2–3 minutes until the glaze is bubbling and mahogany-colored, and the internal temperature reaches exactly 165°F (74°C).
