Ingredients:
- 1 box (18 oz / 510 g) fudge brownie mix
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup (115 g) vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) Dr Pepper
- 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) Dr Pepper
- 1/4 cup (25 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 pinch (1 g) salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, and 1/3 cup of Dr Pepper until the mixture is smooth and emulsified.
- Fold in the fudge brownie mix using a spatula, stirring only until the streaks of flour disappear to avoid a cakey texture.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the edges pull away slightly and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- While the brownies cool, whisk melted butter, 1/4 cup of Dr Pepper, cocoa powder, and salt in a small saucepan over low heat until the sauce is glossy and thickened.
- Pour the glaze over the cooled brownies and spread evenly across the top.
