Ingredients:

Instructions:
- Cream the softened butter and brown sugar until the mixture looks like pale sand and feels fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully emulsified.
- Sift in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix on low speed just until the white streaks of flour disappear.
- Fold in the butterscotch chips and toffee bits by hand using a spatula to avoid over-mixing the gluten.
- Press the dough evenly into a parchment-lined 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) until the edges are a deep golden brown and the center has a slight give when pressed.
