Ingredients:
- 2 pieces (approx. 5 oz / 140g each) store-bought naan or flatbread
- ½ cup (120ml) pizza sauce or basil pesto
- 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
- 1 ½ cups (170g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz (115g) sliced pepperoni or cooked chicken breast
- ¼ cup (15g) thinly sliced red onion
- 1 tbsp (4g) dried oregano or fresh basil leaves
- ½ tsp (3g) garlic powder
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the flatbreads on the sheet and use a fork to prick a few holes across the surface to prevent the bread from puffing up.
- Brush the outer edges of the flatbread with olive oil.
- Spread 2-3 tbsp of sauce in a thin, even layer, leaving a ½ inch border for the crust.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly across the sauce, then add the sliced pepperoni or chicken breast and red onion.
- Finish by dusting the top with garlic powder and oregano.
- Bake on the center rack for 8 to 12 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and turning light brown and the edges are deep golden mahogany.
