Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces (approx. 5 oz / 140g each) store-bought naan or flatbread
  • ½ cup (120ml) pizza sauce or basil pesto
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
  • 1 ½ cups (170g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz (115g) sliced pepperoni or cooked chicken breast
  • ¼ cup (15g) thinly sliced red onion
  • 1 tbsp (4g) dried oregano or fresh basil leaves
  • ½ tsp (3g) garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the flatbreads on the sheet and use a fork to prick a few holes across the surface to prevent the bread from puffing up.
  3. Brush the outer edges of the flatbread with olive oil.
  4. Spread 2-3 tbsp of sauce in a thin, even layer, leaving a ½ inch border for the crust.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly across the sauce, then add the sliced pepperoni or chicken breast and red onion.
  6. Finish by dusting the top with garlic powder and oregano.
  7. Bake on the center rack for 8 to 12 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and turning light brown and the edges are deep golden mahogany.
