Ingredients:
- 5 cups (750g) fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp (8g) ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp (8g) cornstarch
- 1 box (432g) yellow cake mix
- 3/4 cup (170g) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced peaches with sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch until the peaches are evenly coated.
- Pour the peach mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading them into a flat, even layer.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches. Do not stir or press the mix into the fruit.
- Drizzle the melted butter across the top of the cake mix, covering as many dry spots as possible. You may use a fork to gently push butter into any remaining flour pockets without mixing the layers.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until the edges are bubbling and the top is a mahogany-colored, golden-brown hue.
