Ingredients:

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp cornmeal
  • 2 cups whole-milk mozzarella cheese, freshly shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and generously oil a large rimmed baking sheet with olive oil.
  2. Place the dough in the center of the pan and use your fingertips to dimple and stretch it toward the edges. If it snaps back, let it rest for 5 minutes before continuing.
  3. Whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and sea salt to create the garlic herb emulsion.
  4. Brush the dough surface lightly with a portion of the garlic butter. Sprinkle evenly with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan, pushing the cheese to the very edges.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is bubbling with mahogany toasted spots and the crust is golden brown.
