  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions:

  1. Pat the chicken thighs bone-dry with paper towels to ensure maximum crispiness.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the baking powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and onion powder.
  3. Toss the thighs in olive oil, then coat them thoroughly with the spice rub, ensuring the skin is completely covered.
  4. Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin-side down.
  5. Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 12 minutes.
  6. Flip the thighs to be skin-side up and cook for another 8-10 minutes until the skin is deep mahogany brown and juices run clear.
  7. Remove from the basket and let the meat rest on a plate for 5 minutes before serving.
