- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
Instructions:
- Pat the chicken thighs bone-dry with paper towels to ensure maximum crispiness.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the baking powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and onion powder.
- Toss the thighs in olive oil, then coat them thoroughly with the spice rub, ensuring the skin is completely covered.
- Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin-side down.
- Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 12 minutes.
- Flip the thighs to be skin-side up and cook for another 8-10 minutes until the skin is deep mahogany brown and juices run clear.
- Remove from the basket and let the meat rest on a plate for 5 minutes before serving.
