Ingredients:
- 2 pieces (approx. 6 oz / 170g each) store-bought flatbread or naan
- 1/2 cup (120ml) marinara or pizza sauce
- 2 tbsp (30ml) extra virgin olive oil
- 1 clove (5g) garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225g) fresh mozzarella pearls or sliced fresh mozzarella
- 1/4 cup (10g) fresh basil leaves, torn
- 1/4 cup (15g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp (15ml) balsamic glaze
- 1/2 tsp (3g) sea salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and minced garlic. Brush the garlic oil evenly across the top of each flatbread.
- Spread 2 to 3 tablespoons of sauce over each flatbread, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges.
- Evenly distribute the fresh mozzarella slices or pearls across the sauce and sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and the edges of the flatbread are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and immediately top with torn fresh basil and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
