Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces (approx. 3 oz / 85g each) store-bought naan or flatbread
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup thick tomato sauce or pizza sauce
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced into rounds
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 16 fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the naan pieces.
  2. Lightly brush the tops of the naan with olive oil and bake for 3 minutes until the edges just begin to turn golden.
  3. Remove the naan from the oven. Spread 2 tbsp of sauce onto each piece, leaving a 1/2 inch border around the edges.
  4. Arrange 2-3 slices of patted-dry fresh mozzarella on top of the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan and dried oregano. Add a pinch of salt and pepper over the cheese.
  6. Return the pizzas to the oven for 7-10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and develop small golden-brown spots.
  7. Remove from the oven and immediately top with fresh basil leaves.
