Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 stalk green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp toasted sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Pour 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tbsp rice vinegar, and 1 tsp honey into your bowl.
  2. Whisk the liquids vigorously until the honey is completely dissolved and the liquid looks uniform.
  3. Add 1 clove of minced garlic and 1 tsp of grated ginger to the mix.
  4. Fold in the thinly sliced green onion, stirring gently to avoid bruising the onion.
  5. Stir in 1/2 tsp toasted sesame oil.
  6. Sprinkle in 1/2 tsp toasted sesame seeds.
  7. Taste the sauce with a potsticker to check for a sharp, zingy finish.
  8. Adjust the balance: if it's too salty, add another teaspoon of rice vinegar.
